North Central Fire Alarm began dispatching from Community FPD House #1, located at 8847 St Charles Rock Road St John, Mo. The phone system was a Southwestern Bell operator console.
Early Days
The status map in the middle was controlled by a "digital" radio transmitter mounted in all fire and ems units. The units were able to update/change their own status by pushing a single button.
This is the first look at the new building located on McKibbon in St John. This room now serves as offices for admin. The dispatchers are located in the adjoining room.
